The film follows two of the best known bosses of the organized crime of New York, Frank Costello (Robert De Niro) and Vito Genovese (De Niro), while they compete for the control of the streets of the city. Once the best friends, small jealousies and a series of betrayals put them in a mortal collision course that will remove the mafia forever (and America).
